| Sunday 20 May | Quiet Meditative Service 6pm at Emmanuel A time to be quiet and a time to reflect, a service of 30-40 minutes, please enter the church in silence. The first of this type of service which may become regular every 3 months. |

| Tuesday 5 June | Street party to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, (organised by Community Forum) in Chelmsford Street, 2 - 7pm and St John's folk are joining in. Optional fancy dress, lots of street entertainment, including a programme of kids activities. Bring your own food (eating 4.15pm), drink, friends and family. Disco/karaoke from 5pm. To book a seat get a booking form from the Community Centre |
